According to court documents, 19-year-old Daniel Milzman, a freshman from Bethesda, Maryland, showed a student resident advisor a small bag of ricin last March. Several hours later, D.C. fire and police officials questioned Milzman, who admitted he had made the ricin.

A sixth-grade teacher in Washington will apologize to students for asking them to draw comparisons between former President George W. Bush and Adolph Hitler. D.C. Public Schools says the McKinley Middle School teacher sent students home with a Venn diagram asking them to compare and contrast Hitler and Bush, with instructions that said, “both men abused their powers.”
